Sharira used to work at the Hotel 123 and she is very much customer service oriented. She can also speak good English.
I have been staying at the Hotel Versalles since the hotel finished a total renovation in November 2007.
All the rooms classified as suites have been completely redone and are very luxurious!
The bathroom in the Suite Executivo is larger than the Select room at the Hotel Windsor.
It is best that your clients stay in the suite section of the hotel which are accessed by the front "glass" elevator.
A Junior Suite which is very large and spacious costs about 150,000 Colombian Pesos per night.
This equates to about $69.00 U.S. dollars per night.
If your client wants a "huge" room, let him go for the Executive Suite which costs about $180,000 Colombian Pesos per night
or about $79.00 U.S. dollars per night.
These rates were effective last November when I visited Barranquilla for a relaxing vacation.
If your client wants to go "bare bones", there are smaller rooms in the hotel that are accessed by a stair case
and which average about $130,000 Colombian Pesos or $55.00 U.S. dollars per night.
The hotel also offers large suites which are geared more towards families or individuals traveling in a group.
The Hotel Versalles features a delicious "buffet style" breakfast every morning which is included in the cost of room.
If anyone desires any special dishes for breakfast such as an omlette, the waiters on staff will accommodate your request
for a mere $3,000 Colombian Pesos or about $1.40 U.S. The hotel also offers "free" wireless internet throughout including all rooms
as well as the hotel's lobby and pool area. The hotel also features a business center which has 3 computers available 24 hours a day
for the use of its guests at no additional charge.
I could go on for paragraphs why the Hotel Versalles is an extremely good buy for the money.
I have stayed at other hotels in Barranquilla including the Hotel Puerta del Sol, Hotel Royal, Hotel American Golf,
Hotel Dann Carlton, Hotel Windsor and Barranquilla Plaza. My first choice is still the Hotel Versalles.
You get more value for your money. The suites are luxurious and include a deluxe bathroom, mini bar, in room safe,
large 25" television or LCD screen, keyless electronic door entry, extremely comfortable bed and marble floors.
The best feature about the hotel which is not published anywhere is the friendly and helpful staff.
The staff at the Hotel Versalles goes out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and safe during your stay.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a superb value in a hotel that is centrally located in the city near
Carulla Food Mart, Olympica Drug & Food Mart, Ley Department Store, several Money Exchanges and banks,
many great nearby restaurants and numerous retail shops along Calle 72.
The Villa Country Plaza which contains numerous retail stores for shopping is only about 12 blocks away or about a 10 to 15 minute walk.
